Cancellation Policy

If you choose to cancel

More than 1 week before the experience, you can rebook by contacting directly. However, some experiences have special rules for rebooking, for example, for overnight stays and experiences that require long preparation, and there may therefore be some exceptions. This will appear under Rules and Safety on the experience's product page.

Less than 1 week before the experience, the experience cannot be rebooked. Please note that the experiences often include preparations that involve costs that need to be covered, and therefore you cannot get your money back for the experience.

On the day: If something unpredictable occurs just before or on the day of the experience (e.g., illness), please contact the experience manager so they know you will not be participating after all. You can find the contact details in the booking confirmation. Alternatively, you are welcome to give your ticket to someone else.

Weather Conditions

Safety and good conditions are the highest priority. Therefore, sometimes the weather can make it impossible to hold the experience. Should this happen, the experience manager will contact you so you can find a new date together.

If the Experience Manager Chooses to Cancel

Our experience managers, of course, do everything they can to ensure you can go out and experience. However, unforeseen events can occur, such as illness, weather conditions, etc., where there is no other choice but to cancel. Should this happen, you will be contacted by the responsible person by phone/SMS and then by email.

If the experience manager decides to cancel due to too few registrations, errors in planning, or similar, then the cancellation must take place no later than 5 days before the start of the experience. No matter when the cancellation occurs, alternative booking dates must be available, and if not, you are entitled to a refund of the amount for your experience.

In case of cancellation and questions thereto, you are always welcome to contact us.

Safety

Responsibility & Insurance

To ensure complete transparency and understanding between Blue Spirit Surf School and our valued customers, we want to highlight that participation in all our courses and activities takes place at the participant's own risk. This principle is fundamental to our operations and ensures that all participants are fully informed about the risks that may be associated with water sports before engaging in the activities.

Participation at Own Risk

It is important for us to emphasize that although we at Blue Spirit Surf School take all necessary measures to minimize risks and ensure a safe learning environment through:

Careful instruction and guidance by qualified instructors.

Use of appropriate safety equipment.

Implementation of safety protocols and emergency procedures.

However, we cannot completely eliminate all risks. Therefore, it is crucial that all customers understand and accept that they participate in our courses and activities at their own risk. This involves recognizing the potential risks involved in the activities and understanding that injuries can occur as part of the nature of water sports.

Informed Consent and Disclaimer

When customers book their experience with Blue Spirit Surf School, an integral part of the booking process is that they accept our terms, which includes a disclaimer and informed consent. By completing the

booking, the customer digitally confirms that they have received, understood, and accepted information about the potential risks associated with water sports. This step ensures that all customers are fully informed about the conditions under which they participate in the activities and expressly acknowledge that participation takes place at their own risk.

This procedure is crucial to ensuring a common understanding between Blue Spirit Surf School and our customers about the importance of safety and personal responsibility when participating in water sports activities. It underscores our commitment to maintaining a safe environment while clearly communicating that customers bear personal responsibility for following instructions and acting responsibly during the activities.

The digital acceptance of our terms, including the disclaimer and informed consent, allows customers to easily and conveniently review and confirm their understanding and acceptance of the risks associated with water sports before their arrival. This ensures that when they arrive at our location, they are ready to enjoy their chosen activities with a thorough understanding of their responsibility to maintain safety.

Our goal with this process is not only to comply with legal requirements and best practices within the industry but also to promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among our customers. We believe that this approach contributes to creating more meaningful and enriching experiences for everyone participating in Blue Spirit Surf School's activities.

In this context, we encourage our customers to carefully consider their health condition and physical capabilities before participating in our activities. It is the customer's responsibility to inform Blue Spirit Surf School's staff of any health problems or limitations so that we can adapt the experience to increase safety where possible.

Cooperation on Safety

We see this as a partnership: while we commit to providing a safe and supportive learning environment, our customers play an equally important role by following safety instructions and acting responsibly. This mutual understanding and respect for safety practices ensure that everyone can enjoy their time on the water with the highest possible safety and the lowest possible risk.

By highlighting participation at one's own risk, we do not want to discourage anyone from experiencing the joy of water sports. On the contrary, our goal is to promote a culture of responsibility and safety awareness, which ensures that all our customers can enjoy their activities with peace of mind, knowing that they are well-informed and well-prepared.
